Not sure how much posting I'll do today – I've got to finish making decorations for the house…we've got a pumpkin to carve…and a quick dinner to make before it's time for trick-or-treating and handing out candy.
Yesterday it rained. And rained and rained and rained. It was definitely a day to stay inside and cook something warming and comforting for dinner.

In other news, Alex is home sick today, so I will spend the day doing laundry, feeling Alex's forehead and asking him how he feels with annoying frequency, and trying to type stuff.

I was stirring risotto earlier this evening when I was joined by a small person in a gymnastics outfit. She was lugging a dining room chair and had a camera hanging from a strap around her neck.
As I mentioned in this post, my kids had some friends over to decorate Halloween cookies. Thought I'd share the cookie recipe with you.
Remember how we went camping in NH this past summer? I never did finish posting pictures from that trip, and since I don't have photos for the next food post I want to do, I'll post these instead.
Some of Alex and Julia's friends came over today, along with my sister and my niece, to decorate Halloween cookies.
A little over a week ago I received a comment on the Dessert page of my recipes section. The commenter, ogz5, asked if I could teach him/her how to make a not-so-sweet strawberry panna cotta.
A friend and coworker's brother was graduating from college, and I'd been asked to make this little cake.
It's supposed to be the graduation cap, in case you were wondering. See the tassle?
